There was a blue 80s 90s american standard on reverbs a couple weeks ago. I can't seem to find a picture of one. The blue was somewhere in between daphne and lake placid. Seller said it was a limited run. The color was said to be rare as well. It had a maple neck.

Beautiful guitar. Anyone know anything about this?

Maybe it was metallic flake. I can't remember. I looked into fender blue colors. Couldn't find it. Maybe just hoping it was a new color that I couldn't find. must be the flake.

They've done a few limited edition American Standard Tele's in the Ice Blue. It's nice!!!

Another nice and uncommon Blue is the Agave Blue. Though I'm not sure they used it for American stuff.

If not metallic, my guess might be Sonic Blue.

Another uncommon Fender color is Electric Blue.

I'm sure he's right. This is just first one I found in that color. Being as this the Custom Shop version it's not at all the same guitar. Just the same color.

Appreciate the ideas you nailed the color. Tracking it down seems impossible. I wonder if he was lying.

I was just thinking that to myself. It was probably a Partscaster. I can't find anything that comes close to an American Standard in that color.

Might you be thinking of Tidepool blue?
