My dad was a land surveyor 1950-1990. This is a calculator he used, along with tables. He got one of the first HP-35 when they came out(I’m still looking for it around here). The HP was truly revolutionary for a person who worked in the field.
Ok, I swear, I said "I'll just post the first pic in my 2022 directory. And this was it. That's about 5 oz of hash oil (arthritis medicine as we call it in CA) from the leftovers of the 2018 harvest....
Randomly went to a guitar center yesterday. And saw this Takamine. Had to send a pic to my dad (who worked for Southwest Airlines for years before taking early retirement). I never seen one myself but he laughed and said he’s seen a few.
Their headquarters is based out of Dallas Texas. (Where my dad worked). This particular GC is about 20 mins from Dallas give or take.
But dad said they would raffle them off or use as prizes for company events. I’ve spoken of SWA before and how family friendly they are. I remember day trick-or-treating at the headquarters building. Employees would take their kids. EVERYONE was dressed up. On Christmas SWA would rent out the local amusement park for just employees and family. Great company. It was really cool to see that guitar. Made me smile and think about the memories.
At only $200 I don’t think I’d hesitate to buy any Takamine. I’d get it for my dad if he played or showed any interest in Learning.
