My wife's cousin comes to visit every year and they stay at a condo on the beach. I get dusk and dawn pictures sent to me almost every day. This is last night's uncropped, low-res picture sent by text .

Weather is getting colder in most places and the photos reflect that.
1. First fire in the fireplace for the season.
2. Setting of the Fall table.
3. MMMMMMMMexican style chili, sorry I was out of tortillas.
4. Bringing in the warm weather plants for the winter.
5. Osso Buco over Polenta. Tasty is not the word for this, dang it was good.

I thought the fretboard was taped for fret polishing, but it's actually stained those colors?

Today's a holiday in Southern Germany, took advantage to go on a hike with a buddy. November 1st in and around the Franconian Forest

I thought the fretboard was taped for fret polishing, but it's actually stained those colors?

You were right, I was doing a level, crown, sand (that's the step in the original pic, 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit) and then to the buffing wheel. Also made a new nut.

The rivers are low here in the Midwest. The Meramec River is pretty close to my house. This time of year when it's low it is mostly fed by spring water and is cold and clear. A few weeks ago I put on my Crocs and waded out to a gravel bar and just sat and listened to the water. I closed my eyes and stared at the sun and let it warm my face. I found some much needed inner peace.
