Some new parrots visited yesterday. Corellas.

They flew in with the Cockatoos. Smaller with a blue patch around their eyes... feisty, too...

They travel in huge noisy flocks out west and are the bane of grain farmers...

I agree phones today are pretty good. The original video is in full hd and looks amazing. It was the "cinematography" mode on my phone, I didn't intend to use it but I liked the results.

This large copperhead must have slithered out of the slough were Mabel likes to wallow in the mud. Not a heavily traveled road, but the snake sure picked a bad time to cross.

I don't have a picture on my phone, but I have my dad's first-generation 17. Mid 1980s, one of the first batch to be imported. It doesn't even have the tactical rail but I don't want to modify it. It has a slip on Pachmeyer grip and that's all.

We've had bad luck with roses but a friend gave us this one a few years ago and it seems really happy. It blooms early and continues to bloom into the winter
