And those ‘chocolate flowers’ (a kind of native aster/daisy) behind her are pretty amazing when they ‘wake up’ in the summer mornings. Smell fantastic, very small bees love ‘em.

I just noticed the old faithful shot mid right looks like a stealth fighter caught in shot. More likely a bird photo bomb I guess...

Malmstrom AFB north of there. And it looks too symmetrical to be a bird to me. Cool

I once had a Hawkeye photo bomb me shooting pics, I forget where that was..

These pictures remind me of vacations with my dad and stepfamily as a kid. IIRC, I have seen every site depicted, and wouldn't trade anything for the trips.

I was completely awed by Mount Rushmore in particular. Yellowstone was great too...although we watched some idiot ignore all warnings and instructions, and get out of his car to feed a bear cub. The mom bear did not approve, and the fool barely, or bearly?, made it back to his car and slammed the door.

I was on Team Bear Mom, although I didn't say anything. Woulda served him right to get mauled. 😡

This weekend was a bad one for the owner of this duplex around the block from my house. Not a great photo, but looked as if there was significant roof damage, at least at the edge. I couldn't tell if it penetrated the roof over a room. Thank God that at the moment, both units are uncharacteristically vacant, best I can tell. This could have injured someone or damaged their vehicle.

I'll not complain anymore about the big windfallen tree section I posted previously here, which missed both my shed and my wonderful new fence in the backyard and landed harmlessly in an open grassy area.

Took a drive up on the bench of the Wasatch foothills above where our office is yesterday evening.

I have always admired the architecture of these Mormon Temples. It looked stunning with the sunset behind it.

I’ve never been in one, but heard they are immaculate inside. I believe the general public can tour new ones before they are sanctioned for service.
