Hey @lupowitz that's a lot of scale and rust buildup!
Love the sailboats!
Yes, it was long overdue. It's in my in-laws holiday home, and it worked flawlessly for 25 years. We expect it to do the same for the next quarter of the century, now that it was rebuilt.

The sailboats were heading to the finish line on the annual Lake Balaton Crossing race.

My wife’s longtime favorite cat companion had to be put down a month or two ago. She was around 14 years old, had lost a ton of weight (was pretty much down to skin and bones) and could barely walk around the house she was so weak. We miss her.

So of course she had to get a new one. This is Dolly. I forgot how much fun kittens can be, and this one is a trip…

My car had to be put down too. 2017 Hyundai Tucson. 220k+ miles on her, worn out rings, she drank oil (burned it) and had started eating through catylictic converters (not a cheap diet). So I got a new companion too. It doesn’t have a name, but I like it a lot. My fourth Hyundai. They’ve all been great cars.

And in keeping with the random theme, we went to the Fort Worth zoo the other day (pic courtesy of an old Pentax Spotmatic F I picked up in a pawn shop not too long ago. Still works pretty good).

Here’s a few flashback photos. We took them a while back & rediscovered 'em today. In winters just a few years ago, if you were feeling daring or dumb enough, a person could waddle across the lake & poke around inside an ice cave. Not so now. The glacier continues to recede & now they're just a memory. But it's cool thinking back.
