Very typical fare in our region. The daughter ordered a smoked ham and cheese platter, my mother went for the three Bratwürste with sauerkraut and mustard and horseradish. The rustic "farmer" bread is for the table.
There's a raised boardwalk leading through the animal park. Visitors can purchase boxes of grains for 50c and pour them down the tube for the wild boar (who live a fantastic life here). I think the tube also serves as an amplifier that carries the sound of the grunting snorting boar up to the visitors. I love them
long day. First up: Blucifer! If you’ve been in or out of Denver, you may have noticed the 30+ foot tall (10m) statue of a blue mustang, which in the dark, has glowing red eyes. A little spooky, particularly since the almost finished statue toppled over on the sculptor and killed him. Almost 2 years later, the statue was finished and installed. Here’s an internet photo by Steve Braun:

Got back home maybe +1 hour later. Kinda sleepy, but not too sleepy to make some runza. This version filled with sautéed cabbage, onion, jalapeños and garlic, with diced smoked pork - while using grocery store crescent rolls from a tube for the buns.
