Turkey vultures, western gull, river otter, rockfish carcass at the fish cleaning station at the mouth of the Smith River, Del Norte County, California. The birds were all very deferential to the otter when it emerged from the water to appropriate that fishhead :D

Quite the array of "wildlife"!
Cant see the fish carcass though?
So the fish factory or whatever, throws the "garbage" in the water?
Of course it will get eaten but how do swimmers and sunbathers feel about fisheads?
Kinda makes the wildlife look like the homeless population?
Maybe Im looking too close and got it all wrong...

That one is a rare (1950s?) K 14” hi hat made in Istanbul. I have a shameful lot of 50s 60s 70s vintage Zildjians but all A made in USA, some early hand hammered and others later machine hammered. I prefer the A sound but real vintage K is so damn beautiful looking!
Zildjians may say Istanbul on them but not be made in Istanbul, where this is the real thing.

Wowsers! Mine’s an A, only ever seen a couple of Ks, under lock and key in my Dad’s music shop in the late 60’s. Prices were reckoned to be £1 an inch + £10 for the hole. About £18 + £180 today. Definitely true that musical kit is better value than ever.
