    3-4 weeks early this year.

I wonder if it'll end early too, or just run through July like usual...

On the bright side, we don't have wildfires in the summer in Japan. :)

I wonder the same thing. I think our climate is similar, though we definitely get more rain.

Getting banned for posting Gordon Lightfoot videos...can't disagree with that...

Truth be told, he would likely not be banned for Gordon Lightfoot.

Really, you get more than 100" of rain a year?

I never would have thought our climate is similar to Juneau; we barely got into freezing temps in Osaka last winter; I think there was only one day where it didn't get above freezing.

We have these monsoons until Mid July or something, and then it goes from kinda warmish and constantly dripping to sweltering and sticky with occasional torrential downpours until late August, when the typhoons start to come...

    October's nice though!

I live in a temperate rain forest. We get 71 inches of rain a year, and on average 230 days of precipitation. Never rains hard, but it's pretty relentless.

It's the opposite here, coldest morning of the year so far under 10C... and under 50% humidity...

cold and dry.... though it's been mid 20's during the day..:)

Our wet season has finished and now it's drying out... good for doing work outside. :)

    Hi.

Ha ha, that's quite hilarious. I opened the main TDPRI page a while back, but didn't look, as I started to do something else. It just moments ago started raining, and I looked up at the sound. Only to see, right before my eyes "Rainy season has started."

That's one nice thing about my wife's hometown, Sapporo. No rainy season or severe humidity and the summers are pretty mild. Winter's a bit if a pain, but tolerable.

Kansai Spring and Fall are amazing though, with Winter a close second. Summer sucks IMO.

Another month til monsoon season here. Only 15 inches of rain annually, but we do get near double that in snow.

We call it the "Junesoons" up here, but as of late, our June rainy seasons have become shorter or too brief to count and basically determines our newly acquired ... "fire season" later in the summer.

Yoicks! My town (checks Wikipedia) gets 12" of rain a year and that's plenty for me. We can go through a whole summer with only a sprinkle.

Rainy season is about to start here also. We average 54”/yr.

I can’t wait. I love the summer rains, the humidity, and the heat. Yes, I am insane:eek:
