I feel stupid I did not see this post earlier ,

I've seen Mr White with yes many times and with Genisis with Phil Collins , a sad day for sure , thank you for being a part of my teen age years. as much fun as I had
a brilliant talent for sure.

RIP Alan. First saw him on the Relayer tour. Great show.
Topographic Oceans is one of my all-time favorite records.
A friend of mine used to be Steve Howe's guitar tech and got to know Alan pretty well.

My thing was that I think Alan was the only drummer Chris Squire could play with. The two of them made some synergy effect. Chris playing style was soooo idiosyncratic.... they gelled like it was nobodys business. Alan could sure play with other bassists, but not the other way around. Bill Bruford had a hard time too with Chris...he said.
