I just ordered a used InterBlock 45 for 100€$£ and plan to use it as a backup for my CVR as it's small, can do 4Ω and at least claims to sound Fender-ish.
If it sounds ok as a headphone amp and as a grab-and-go for rehearsals (with one of my small cabs), that's a bonus.

Anyone here still using one?
How loud can it go and stay clean through decent speakers?

For example, my 1x12 with a Emi Tonker is efficient but 8Ω so it's getting ~33W from the InterBlock.

If that is the pedal one ya. You have to measure actual watts with ohm. Used as emergency but never Used. Think micro block 45

Yeah, I think the MicroBlock 45 and InterBlock 45 have the same poweramp module but the Interblock has more features, a 3 band EQ for example.
~17W@16Ω, 33W@8Ω and 45W@4Ω.

I'm not expecting too much volume wise, my Envoy 110 is 40W and I could do most of my gigs with that, with regards to volume anyway. My amp is almost always miced.

I had one- did the job and was ok but sounded a bit dead to me. Replaced it with a Superblock US and like that much better.

I can imagine the SuperBlock sounds better. How about clean volume difference?
The power at 4Ω was a factor and less €$£ for a backup.

Yeah I tried one and was really hopeful for it. I love simplicity and streamlining. But the sound for me just wasn’t quite to my liking enough to commit to it. Still, not bad to have in an emergency, I suppose.

For the price of a used overdrive, I mostly expect it to be loud enough and make amp-like noises if my Vibrolux decides to take a smoke break at a gig. 😄

I have no experience with the InterBlock 45 but I do have a SuperBlockUS which I use a lotfor various situations (not all . I like it it. It sounds good, takes pedals well and is loud enough for small to medium gigs ... If you plug it into the sound board, it may be all you need. I'm sick of lugging heavy amp around. So for the most part it is this or a C30 or a Blues Jr. I try not to over think this stuff.

I had one of the Interblock 45 amps, they are pretty amazing for the size, it worked well through different speakers that I had, Eminence Ragin Cajun 10 in a closed back cab, that's a very loud speaker, and a WGS ET65 12"in a semi open back cab.
Interestingly I tried a 4 ohm WGS ET65 and I really couldn't tell much if any volume difference between the 4 and 8 ohm versions of that speaker.

I have a Superblock US, rated at 25 watts but to me it seems as loud as the Interblock plus it has an XLR out and 3 different amp voices, reverb and a limiter.

I've gigged with it using a 1-12 cab and pedals for gain tones, worked fine and was plenty loud.

Yeah, luckily my heaviest amp is my AC15c1, it's even heavier than my CVR. So a bit heavier than a Classic 30. The Superblock probably sounds better but they're about 280$ on the used market here and the Interblock ~100$.

The size, price (100$ used) was right and I hope the Interblock has enough juice at 4ohm to get me through a gig as backup if needed.
Regarding the volume difference between a 4 Ohm ET65 and a 8Ohm ET65, it's not surprising that you didn't notice much difference there. The difference between 33W and 45W is ~1dB which is barely noticable.

The Interblock arrived yesterday and tried it through a 2x10 at 4 or 16Ohm (8ohm speakers in parallell or in series). Tried the headphone out too but just to verify it was working.
No, it won't sound or feel like my CVR but good enough as a backup or as a grab-n-go. I wouldn't want it to be my only amp but with some tweaking, it's definitely useable.

I have one and have gigged it with no complaints.

Try it with different cabs. I like it with an Eminence Alessandro 12" and get the 44w by adding an old Celestion V30, which rounds it all out to my ears.

Most of my needs have been for clean sounds. Just got an ODR-1 mini as a gift, so I'll be experimenting with different dirt.

It's not a hot old tube amp, but it'll do.

After more testing and tweaking today, I agree that it's fine for gigs. I did just that, tried it with three different cabs. The beater 2x10" cab with a Celestion Tube 10 (predecessor to the Ten 30) and a very similar HH 10", still sounded pretty good and a small 1x10" Emi 1028k sounded more Fender-y. Great speaker.

The main test was the two P10R in the CVR, as the Interblock will be the backup for that amp. Would not hesitate to gig that setup. The P10Rs in that amp have probably had hundreds of hours of loud rock guitar played through them by the previous owner and they do sound really good, to my ears at least.

The Interblock into the P10Rs sounded pretty good. Yes, the InterBlock is a bit stiff at lower volumes, the treble a bit sharp and it takes some tweaking to get the best out of it. Approaching gig levels (for me) set clean, the quick and detailed response was surpringly nice to play without being harsh, flubby or spikey. With a little tweaking, it handled the Wampler Euphoria and a Turbo Rat great too. The Xotic SP comp, Topanga reverb and harmonic tremolo from the SurfyTrem were icing on the cake.

I'm not really a fan of the overdrive from the InterBlock itself but as long as the cleans are good enough, the pedals can do the overdrive.

Definitely worth the 100$ I paid for it.

After playing it and testing it with a bunch of different cabs and speakers, I have really come to appreciate the Interblock. It's a swiss army knife.

The pedalboard and the speaker(s) you hook it up to makes a whole lot of difference. I could definitely do one of my Americana gigs with it into a 1028k+V1030 speaker mix or jam with my more rock oriented studio project with a G10 Greenback+G10L-35.
Between the FULLQ/Vintage setting and the 3 band EQ, it's probably the most versatile amp I have. Even without using the Boss IR-2 into a PA type cab.

The fact that it's capable of being a FRFR amp with a 3 band EQ in the FULLQ setting is great when I want to use my Boss IR-2. I have a couple of cabs loaded with PA type speakers, works great if there aren't enough monitors around and the sound guy insists on a DI signal.
We have even used it as a monitor for acoustic guitar and mandolin (with an appropriate cab) and it was surprisingly good for that.

I'm running one as a backup, should one of my TMDRs crater onstage. In a pistol case, I have the Quilter, a Boss FDR pedal, power source and a reverb/delay pedal as well as connecting cables. This setup will provide sufficient volume and the FDR pedal gives me the Fender amp sound I relish.

My last gig was with the MicroBlock (IIRC, the same as the InterBlock 45), through a MojoTone open-back 12" (EVM12L). In a band mix, the MB and IB sound quite good (gig before last was with the InterBlock 45 - same EVM12L loaded cab).

My current "gig" and rehearsal amp is the InterBlock 45 through the MojoTone open back 112 cab (with Eminence Legend 1258). I'll use the MicroBlock as backup.

My OLD ears can't discern the difference 'tween the InterBlock 45 and the '61 Vibrolux, in a live situation, anymore. I can hear the difference in the studio, and recorded... There's a certain hi freq sparkle that is missing from the Quilters (all of them, IMO), being non-tube" amps. However, that's VERY difficult to HEAR in a live situation (for me).

Since the IB 45 is MUCH easier to transport, that's really a no-brainier for me anymore. I just hope I have more gigs coming up!!!
