I have a new Tusq pre-slotted nut I'd like to use.

There is a logo/lettering on the headstock-side that will be visible unless I remove it, and I don't want it there.

Does anyone have a quick tip on removing it?

    Thanks.

If it's just printed on, can't you file it or sand it off? As long as it wouldn't affect the way it seats and isn't on the fretboard end, this should not be an issue.

    Yes, definitely.

I was hoping for someone might have already identified a harmless solvent or something.

I'm already halfway through scraping it off, but maybe there's an easier way. This isn't exactly hard to do, like you say.

I have been there, It seems to be impregnated into the material a bit.

To me, they don't save any time and they are far more expensive than what you can get pre-slotted bone nuts for.

I have a pile of Tusq and Tusq XL nuts that I am not likely to ever use.
