    pencils. pencils. pencils.

And those little drill bits you use for things like tuner screws, the bits like 1.5mm, 2mm etc. I think the floor must be hoarding them.

Oh thank God! I thought it was just me who's ADD, anal , and suffering from borderline dementia.:D I knew there was a reason I wasdrawn to this forum. Mine is screwdrivers. not just screwdriver bits, whole screwdrivers. Sometimes whole sets of screwdrivers, along with needle nose pliers and those pink erasers I use for sanding blocks.

Whatever I was just using. Well, haven't lost the drill press yet, but anything else is fair game.

Pretty much anything that hits the floor.

I'm going to sweep up one day.

    Really!

I always look for my safety glasses for a while before realizing I have them on top of my head.

I've been going through this Beavis & Butthead-esque "Fire!" stage but my torch & propane canister vanish from the face of the planet shortly after each project & I end up at HD shelling out another $15 a EVERY time.

I actually spent 5 days looking for some MOP dots that I had just used a few days before. Searched everywhere - on the work bench, on the floor, around all the tools.... Finally found them in the container with all my other inlay stuff  Don't know why I didn't look there first. That's what I get for putting something away

I spent an hour looking for a screw that I had JUST PUT DOWN on the bench in front of me. I pawed through everything on the bench top, I looked on the ground, under the guitar I was working on, behind the bench, on the drill press, in the toilet--I was goin nuts.

I finally found it stuck to the polepieces of the guitar that was lying face down on the bench--so of course, when I had picked up the guitar to look under it, it wasn't there.

I've lost some beautiful pieces of wood, and only found some highly figured scraps, sawdust and other bits of kindling in their place. ;)
