How about telling us about some of your t-style guitars that aren’t Fender.
I’d like to know what drew you to a certain guitar. I’d like to know how you feel they match up.
Maybe you don’t want to “endorse” a bunch of builders, but I’d love to know who you think is making some cool t-style guitars.
    Thanks for your time!

Hey @Redd Volkaert , if you make your way to this thread, I'd like to piggy-back. I've always wanted know about the guitar you're playing in this clip. Probably my most watched youtube video. You and Bill were just on fire. That rosewood board neck always throws me when you turn toward the camera the first time.

In this interview with Zac Childs he answers a lot of questions about gear. He is a very entertaining man.

This is the most expensive video I've ever watched! After I watched it, and with much trepidation, I purchased a Doc Fisher tele. Best move I've ever made. I've posted elsewhere, so I'll just say it is an awesome guitar! Well worth the money. No disrespect to other boutique guitar makers, I've owned and played a lot of them, but Doc is really a cut above anything else I've played. It took a few days to warm up to, but I've had it for two months now and the more I play it the more I love it.

    Bob,
    I have several
Tomkins, Fisher, Hibler, Neville, Lucky Dog, KLH, Aronson, Rutters, Yaron & some I haven't used or looked at in a while.
I choose these builders for their quality, attention to detail, and the skillset they show in their work. Overall 'TO ME" their work shows in an incomparable quality guitar, that meets "my" EXACT criteria and surpasses the work of a 9-5 factory worker that doesn't play, love woods, sound difference, science or have pride in their work, these guys to me, do.

Mostly, because a 1, 2 or 3 man operation will listen to the customers ideas and build it custom, accordingly.

    No factories do that.
They have what they think or what the owner and maybe a couple of they're key employees think is the best and only way to do, build or design the "best in their opinion guitar" and just know you'll love it, cause they know more than you, after all, they started a guitar building company!

ie. small neck, heavy body, thin pu's, too thick of paint etc
Of course the last line will start a firestorm of "I can't tell the difference" warriors, bla bla

    To that I say:
You either hear it or you don't. It doesn't matter, if you don't, buy at Walmart it's cheaper and let the cork sniffers blow their foolish money.

I guess all aspects of the guitar are that way . . .
    pu's that I like are;
OC Duff, Budz, Harmonic Design & Seymore Duncan ymmv

Anywho, thats "MY" story and I'm stickin' to it

    Thanks for the interest!!

Owen Duffy is a great winder who hasn't had nearly enough attention of late. I owned two great sets of pickups from him.

Great to see you here! I haven’t heard “Harmonic Design” pickups mentioned in a month of Sundays. Got one of the P90 inspired in the bridge of my 50s Tele. Love it.
