Putting a trem on a tele?

    It's not difficult at all. Several companies now make vibratos for flat tops so you don't have to spend a tong.
    GFS makes a vibrato with matching bridge that loads from the top of the vibrato.
    This is a result build of mine with the GFS matching set. The vibrato is a roller. and the bridge can be adjusted forward and backwards as well as at an angle in addition to the saddle adjustments. The whole thing was about $70.

    Terry Kath did it to his.


    Heck he had to route it out since in the early 70’s there were few after market parts to allow him the fully adjustable bridge from a strat. The holes just won’t line up. I believe he blocked it soon after the mod.

    If God had wanted a trem on a tele, he would have told Leo to put it on.

    Nope, that’s a Truarc on a dBridges custom base.
