Hey I was just wondering if it is possible at all to put a American Fender bridge onto a Affinity? I am replacing everything to say Fender USA, I am not trying to make a clone or anything. I am doing it for my own personal belongings, I am not trying to sell it. My Affinity Tele is string through, I don't care what kind of bridge it is. Put I do want it to say Fender on it.

The bridges on the Affinity series whether top load (China) or string thru (Indonesia) are longer than the vintage style Fender ash tray bridge. Rather than messing with irreversible body damage, I have found that the Affinity bridges are easy to modify for 3 saddles. In some cases you may need longer saddle adjustment screws for proper intonation. These are easily found at your local Lowes store.

Which model of Fender Telecaster does your bridge come from?

Some might fit better than others.

Btw, even with a string through Affinity, you're going to be filling some holes, drilling others and the way I do this, I drill some precisely angled diagonal holes to re-use the existing through hole locations. It is pretty complex; the result was good, but considering all the work, it probably wasn't worth it. But I did get bragging rights, that I achieved it! :D

Unless you're getting those Fender parts free or for dealer cost, you are going to spend more money doing it this way, than for a well bought Fender guitar - you do realize that, right? :D

Go to Ebay and purchase a "Fender" engraved neck plate, and a "Fender" headstock decal, and use those to pimp your Affinity.

Trying to make a MIA Fender bridge work on that guitar is going to be more complicated than you might think. Many bridges don't bear the name of the manufacturer, it's not a big deal to have a plain unmarked bridge.
