Pulse and Carlsbro amps

These new Hybrid Tube amps sound ok, but I cannot find a schematic for. I am sure you can do some Mod's on these amps that will help the clean channel open up and the EQ more useable.

The Pulse PM30H and Carlbros EVO 30 are the same amps. 1 - 12AX7 and 2 - 6L6GT's.

These cheap tube amps are actually pretty nifty, but as i stated above the clean channel is really lacking. The EQ doesnt seem to do much to change the overall tone very much. I was wondering if anyone has played around with these amps and has found a few ways of helping them sound better. I purchased the Pulse PM30H, I have tried the head thru celestions, Jensen and JBL speakers. Same issue with the clean channel no matter what cab is tried. I put in JJ tubes to replace the stock ones (made in china). That helped a little but seems like there is very little jangle to the clean channel and it doesnt sound very open. The distortion channel isnt bad to my ears but I like to use pedals to get my tone.

I know its a cheap amp, but as I said before im sure you could do a few things to help the tone out.

Also I saw Carlsbros made what looked like could be a nice amp called the
VAC 15 Classic w/ Greenback 12" speaker. But cannot find anywhere selling them.

Just want to mess around with some of these cheaper amps and see what I can do to make them better for all them folks I know who may not have a lot of money to spend.

I cannot offer any specific help, but there was a similar discussion about the difference between original blackfaces and the reissue amps eg. the Deluxe Reverb.

Most agreed that with a good speaker, good tubes and enough break-in time the reissues sounded pretty close to the originals. Maybe that is something to consider here, too?
