    I'm fence sitting the the Esquire, it looks like expolsions in a ominous way to me, or hair, but one pickup or with humbuck, it sure is unique and eye catching mojorific!

    Now that Jazzmaster, WOW. It reminded me of hawaiian herbs or something or other +}

    Didn't need to see this as my Squier Standard has the same Vintage Blond as the base coat of the Esquier. Gotta learn to play it 1st. Neat guitars. Lets see some more. Any good close ups of Harrison's Rocky?

    I finally spoke to the original owner. He saw photos of the Esquire online and got in touch with a friend who put us together. He bought the guitar new in Boston and had the neck pickup installed after seeing a similar setup on a Tele or Esquire played by the guitarist with Three Dog Night.

    And somebody painted this Harmony Stratotone to look like what your Silvertone used to look like... ;)

    I know this is an ancient thread but it came up when I did an Esquire search on Google. Love this guitar!

    I love that Esquire, and the Jazzmaster. Both are too cool.

    I really love the painted Tele. Its very original, and inspiring. Does this mean the headstock is painted, too?

    Congratulations on the grand!

    I sold that guitar a couple of years ago through Lark Street Music in Teaneck, New Jersey. It was listed on GBase too. I believe that the buyer lives somewhere in upstate New York. I found another photo I took with my other Esquire ('52 blackguard).

    Love both of those, Feathercaster! I have a soft spot for psychedelic Tele's/Esquires thanks to Jimmy Page & Syd Barrett.

    That's my guitar! Bought at E.U.Wurltzer Music in Boston Ma. 1969 I painted it, and originally it had a 59 PAF in the neck had the original rout for a telecaster pick up. Had my choice that day of Paisley's (Magenta and Blue) and I could swear there was a Blue Paisley Esquire. Had them beat up (first relic ever?) the case so my girl friend wouldn't know it was new. Also bought a Vibrolux reverb. That guitar was seen all over the east coast.

    Is that you Patrick? I posted the photos here before you and I caught up with each other back in 2010 when I sold it. The guy I bought it from in Texas bought the guitar from you strictly for the PAF pickup. He immediately took it out and tried to flip it on eBay for big bucks. When I got it, he had replaced it with a Seymour Duncan Antiquities humbucker. I got it for not only your cool paint job but like you, I also love maple cap necks. Even rarer to find an Esquire maple cap with the transition logo decal. I've owned 5 Fender maple cap guitars and still have one, a '66 Tele with a black & red two-tone paint job (see below), but this was the only Esquire in the bunch. Jd
