And now the hard part, I generally trim the fretboard with my 3" scrub plane which also meant sharpening it . It was great with rosewood but I knew this wouldn't be easy. In my early days I ripped all my fretboards using dad's table saw. Being mostly acoustic (and flat) I seldom over 3/16" if that. But as we know all stock these days comes 1/4" or more. That was initially quite an adjustment for me but seeing as most were radiused it made sense. Except maple, heck oak trims easier . Setting the blade in these little Sheffield blades takes me about 30 minutes, heck the sharpening takes 10 minutes tops. Oh well

I tend to like maple on an oak neck and oak fretboards on a mahogany neck. Wouldn't seem to go together but somehow they do

thinking out of the box is a good thing.
i once made a little guitar with a pine back from an old bed, and pieces oak top from massive parquet.
why not ;-)

Finally got my tuners in and yes I know. I put them on backwards to begin with and the two holes WILL be plugged
