Chips (real name was Lincoln) was very instrumental in getting Elvis Presley's recording career back on track with the famed Memphis sessions at American Sound Studio in Memphis.

    Rest in peace, Chips!!!

I remembered his name on some great Waylon material from the seventies, among a LOT of other projects.

This makes me sad for the umpteenth time this year. Sigh.

They ought to give him the Wurlitzer Prize.

In a year like this one, I can't help feeling that here was one guy who did what he came here to do. He died full of years and full of accomplishments. Nothing to do with a man like that but tip a glass to his memory.
