Great album...I saw them play it in its entirety back in 2003 or so.
If ever there was a band that was an acquired taste, it would be Primus by a mile. Still, some of their stuff I really like.
I really dig their straight-ahead stuff like Tommy The Cat or John The Fisherman, but a lot of their stuff comes off as tedious, disjointed wanking. I really tried to like Pork Soda, but I just couldn't do it. This song is great but touched a little too much of reality in my old hometown in the '90s. There's a company that builds mobile homes there, and you ever wonder how they knock out so many of them so quick? I don't...
I saw them on tour for this, I think back in 92. Man I loved those first two albums. So weird and so good all at the same time. They sounded so different from the classic grunge rock sound that was big at the time. I agree that they are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. Never did buy anything else of theirs, so I can't really comment on what came after. Also learned what a tweaker was because of this song.
