I have what I thought was a pretty old sword that's been in my family a while, on the Scots side.

I always thought there was some kind of gory story behind it. But it turns out that one of my forebears bought it at the Victorian equivalent of a jumble sale.

It also turns out it's not even 150 years old. Which in the UK means it's pretty much new.

I’d love to see pictures.
Maybe I can google it.
And just as food for thought, the rusted out edges on the fender of my old tractor are also “sharp”.
Clik on the link post #1. (The sentence) Not sure why the link came up just as soft grey words.

After 3000 years buried in the mud with the leather rotting off it, modern humans only touch it wearing white gloves!

Related the the next story about duck paste disease?

While this sword is bronze and doesnt rust, Ive read of ancient iron swords found preserved with animal fat.
