    Might be a silly question, but why convert the voltage of the pedals?

    Personally I like high voltages, hence the lightning arc going through a Christmassy garden gnome in the pic on the left. Though the 60,000 V used in the lab might be overkill for any type of audio amp.

    I have the delay and flanger versions of that Maxon/ Ibanez 18v pedal.
    They are superior partly due to the better chips that run at higher voltage.
    Better to Upgrade the power supply than downgrade the pedal.
