Powerhouse Strat question?

A friend has a powerhouse strat with the 12 db boost mod and wants me to clip 2 resistors to get 25 db boost?
Can anyone enlighten me on the precedure?

Hey all,
I've been playing my Powerhouse Strat non stop for the past couple of months. I really love that thang!

Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed it sounded dead and was not producing the "Strat" tones anymore. After closer examination I realized the 5-way switch was shot. After a trip to the music store and Radio Shack, I installed a genuine Fender switch. What a difference!

As long as I was there, I desoldered the two resistors on the boost pot to get the full 25db (Clapton) boost instead of the 12db. I really notice a difference when I crank the boost but, still have that classic Strat tone when I turn it down. Thanks for the tip!

Not heard of that mod.
Maybe you can find a pic of the Clapton circuit board and compare...

The circuit board is the same. The only difference is the 2 resistors on the pot.
