The band finds itself soon in need of one or two powered floor monitors for our PA.

Recommendations? Not really looking at anything under 100w for our venues, which are small to medium sized bars/restaurants. The Behringer 125w unit looks interesting. It sure is in our price range.

    My Drummer uses that Monitor.
Claims it is the best money he ever spent.

ALL of the controls are on the FRONT where the user can see and, reach them.
    Takes 1/4" and XLR.

I've got a Kustom PA KPC12MP that I use for classic rock band gigs. It sounds great but takes up a little more floor space than I would like. They had them on clearance at Musicians Friend two years ago for $119 (no tax, free shipping). Note these don't have the built in microphone preamp like the Behringers. I'm not sure what they are going for new/used now, if they are still made, etc.

In a pinch, any amplifier, guitar, keyboard, bass, even a small PA system can be used for monitors. You might check your local craigslist for a bargain.

Yes, I think that's kind of a no-brainer as a feature but few if any have that configuration.

Will look into the Carvin stuff.
