I want a mini humbucker in the neck and keep the tele bridge. I have two 250k pots and want to put a 500k volume pot with 500k resistor between volume and switch.

What if I keep the 250k tone, how will it affect the humbucker?

Can I use a resistor with a 500k tone pot? How? The tone pot now goes to the volume pot. How should I wire the tone so that the bridge pickup reads 250k and the neck 500K ? I got this for the volume pot but not for tone.

Also, if you have different pot values, what value do you get on the middle position?

Finally, middle position, do people wire humbucker + bridge, or outer coil neck + bridge, or inner coil neck + bridge?

I would do standard 500 with orange drop caps.
I always use 50s or 60s wiring to brighten neck.

My Tele with Firebird neck/Tele bridge has 2 330k pots and .022 cap. Sounds awesome.

Use the 250k but wire tone circuit to the bridge PU lug on switch so tone only in circuit with HB when using both PUs together. Or a push pull that in down position has no tone circuit on HB, up puts it in circuit.

Also, IMO. In a Tele a mini HB with ceramic mag is a good thing, in neck pos.
