Really bored over the weekend so I took a pic of all my rock/music shirts:
i have way too many
I find this interesting but can't contribute. I've been to lots of concerts and have never bought a T-shirt.
Rush, Floyd and Zep.. ..Very nice
I'll post pictures if someone really feels the need, but I only have two worth mentioning. One is a Fishbone shirt from circa 1990, and a League of Crafty Guitarists (Robert Fripp) shirt from circa 1991.
Everything else are reprints or fairly current, so don't seem that significant.
I have certain bands that I "need" (Ramones, dead Kennedys, Mudhoney, Misfits)to replace as the shirts get too riddled with holes, but most of my shirt drawer is bands, with maybe 20% being superheroes or star wars, and 5% being blank or blank ish.
I've worn the same sizes for 15 years, so I just wear the shirts less frequently when they start to show wear.
Currently semi retired (until I'm behind on laundry) are my Tom Petty shirt that's as old as I am, a bleach damaged Rush Roll the Bones shirt, and a roughed up Dead Milkmen shirt.
Most of what I have I didn't buy at shows, as I'm so skinny that my size typically got sold to some dudes girlfriend earlier in any given tour.
I have several (wallflowers, 38 special, off top of my head) that I don't really remember where I got them, but certainly never seen the bands live.
Now, I'd be happy to show off my collection of shoes. It's a good pair plus 4 other pairs of chuck Taylor's that are too roughed up and have become "house shoes".....
I kept some Kinks and Rory Gallagher ones that fit me 40 lbs ago.
I do have a Yardbirds, Ray Davies and a Taste one that is basically the front cover from their first record.
Forgot, Jeff Beck one too.
