Pick_Guard_Removed.jpg Electronics_All.jpg Doug's Guitar 035.jpg My 1963. It used to be Sonic Blue when I bought in 1972, but I did a crappy refin job on it (I was only 12 at the time)

    Cheers,
    Doug

Hi Doug since you said your refinish was crappy ever consider getting it refinished in Sonic Blue? If it were mine I would.

Nah, it's part of its mojo. Plus, I was not a big fan of Sonic Blue anyways (that's the main reason for the refin). I did the refin as soon as I bought it. I got it at a garage sale in 1972 and it was my first electric (and the one and only Tele I've ever owned).

    Cheers,
    Doug

haha. it is totally legal - as i have had the same thoughts about many others' guitars. In fact, it lead me to putting this thing together !

if i find a recording with this guitar isolated - i'll be sure to post !!!

    Here's mine.

I've got a white guard on the way for it, so it will only be this way a few more days.

Here's my Thinline build from a few years back. Lately I've been Gassing for a sonic blue strat w/ rosewood board.

Close up of those inlays? Very cool, and I've not seen anything like that before. Thinline with a Bigsby is the heat.

Blue she is! Here come my first project. And although I am far from calling it "making" a Tele, I'm still proud.
The project had a lot of "firsts" for me. (I had not worked with wood before.)

I learned a ton of new things, and I sure had fun - and now I have a Tele ... pardon a "Toledocaster". ;-)

    doc.

I'm having trouble posting pictures of the fretboard inlays...so I'll try a little later

Here's a link to the build....hopefully it works. I'm technologically challenged sometimes :)

A little caveman crude, but I was happy with it. And credit goes someone showing off a CNC machine on youtube for the inlay idea.

It's a shame they discontinued this color option for the AV64. Beautiful!

Completely agree. This is a beaut. I have a partscaster in LPB See early post but if I didn't have it I'd have to find one of these or a custom shop 63.

The good news is that LBP is a color option for the American Design Series where you can pick out some of your own customized specs.

Thank you. I'd live to hear from anyone who has used this, service. Sounds expensive. Sounds like G&L! Please don't start one of those argument!
