Not really mine, the helmet or the guitar.
I should be so lucky.
I haven't used it in years but it prevents fogging as I recall
I like my bike helmet. I like it more than that one damn branch I always bump my head on when I ride around my local trail...
Ya..My sister got hit on her bike..and ended up in hospital...so that is why they are on me... I guess a good idea
Here’s the rag with all the dried blood on it that I had to hold against the back of Jennifer’s head when she T-boned me going around the corner in the middle of May, where upon we both hit the deck at about 4 miles an hour - each hitting our head on the strip of grass between the street and the sidewalk.
I was wearing a helmet/she was not.
On a hard piece of lawn - not the street.
I was fine. She had bleeding on the brain and wasn’t right for a couple months.
That’s why you wear a helmet.
when I see somebody out riding a bike and they’re not wearing a helme, no matter what the bike, I sneer and say “oh that’s just a dabbler/civilian. That’s not a cyclist...”
I get a new one every year. Here was this year’s
Yeah - I laugh at bikers wearing the "skull caps" ... a ten dollar helmet for a ten dollar head .
I was riding around on a snowmobile in Rochester and the surrounding area with one of those helmets in the 70s.
The current batch....
My wife is from Caledonia- Mumford, NY ( I call it 'cold suburban farm country')
We met in College Erie, PA
Some cool helmets in here for sure! Mine is plain as plain can be. That's by design. I do my best to not stand out. ...mainly because I don't want people talking to me about my bike. I just want to ride in peace. lol. Yeah... I am a boatload of laughs. The bike I ride is actually a real stunner. I didn't pick it out. Wife did.
What did you fly? I was a Navy P-3 crewman.
Dad's late 1940s USN helmet along with his early 60s Bell flight helmet are in a museum. He would not tell me anything about the 40s helmet...just a white, unmarked, goofy-looking thing.
The Bell has a retractable shield and was custom-made for him when he flew the DO-32 helicopter (1962-ish).
Like this, but one size bigger.
Here's an old Motorcycle 1/2 helmet with reflectors on it. I have to wonder why they don't do that anymore, or is it just reflective tape now?
A lot of newer helmets have dayglo graphic trim. The HJC I'm wearing in the second to last photo I posted had dayglo orange sections on it....however, I blacked them out as well as I could with a sharpie marker. I don't like dayglo graphics on my helmets....
I had a silver Shoei full face at one time, and it got stolen...at a golf course of all places!!
After that one, I got a nice Bell full face, and that one vanished too!
