If I don't use a little bit, I look like Doc Brown of back to the future.... It happens when you get old.

I use the same stuff I rub on my beard. Smells like mint. Very nice.

Murrays is Bryan Setzer's brand. He has it on his merch table at concerts.

Brylcreem was the '50s go to.

I like Wildroot but I'm just plastering what hair I have left down when I tie it back.

That would be awesome! I'm fascinated by these little islands of preserved culture, where things like rockabilly survive.

Murray’s is the only thing that’ll hold my hair straight. But it’s not worth the hassle.

I no longer use hair products except coconut oil and bacon grease.

Murray's really is the best single one I've found. I just wish it had more shine to it.
Elvis is of course the gold standard. He reportedly used Royal Crown and a bunch of other things, too

"Elvis Presley used: Black & White, Royal Crown, Dixie Peach, Lovers Moon, Slick Black, Murray’s, Sweet Georgia Brown, and the list goes on"

This thread reminds me of a running joke when I was a kid about a friend’s dad and his addiction to Dippity-Do...what exactly was Dippity Do? Pomade? Hair Gel?

Obviously I’m not exactly a hair product expert.

When I was there, they were still plowing tobacco fields with oxen.

Yeah there were a few clips of those dancing folks in the movie i think if i remember correctly. It might have been a movie about grunge music or seattle, because the music playing was the young fresh fellows, the song was low beat

Well i don't think they do it anymore, because at the time they were complaining dancers wouldn't show up on those sunday dances.
