I've found some paints in a color I like - problem is, I've only been working with acrylic paints, and this would be my first time spray painting with enamel. I also use polyurethane/polycrylic finishes which I hope will cooperate with enamel, but I wanted to ask those of you who have had experience spraying enamel paints and finishing them (i.e. Dupli-Color Engine Paint or Rustoleum Stops Rust).

A few years back I sprayed satin Minwax polyurethane over top of Rustoleum enamel spray paint and it bonded quite well and hardened up nicely. That's only a sample size of one project so take it for what its worth. You could always do some small test blocks first.
