I feel that I create my own bad luck, and the good luck gets me out of it.
I'm thankful to be alive sorta I guess.
But only because I don't what's next.
I've never won a single thing.
Had to work damn hard to get what I've got.
BUT - I am a very lucky guy because my Gretsch 6120 TM was totally free.
It didn't cost me a dime because I quit smoking.
Which left me a healthier person.
A long time ago a Karate Champion told me that if he had a body like mine he'd cut his throat.
He died 11 years ago.
But I've still never won a single thing that I can think of.
And every Mother-In-Law I've ever had has despised me.
I love Ya Dorothy.
The rest of you mother-in-laws can take a long walk off a short pier.
I'd consider myself real lucky if I could move maybe 3-5 hours North of where I am - way way up in Northern Maine or Nova Scotia.
I can smell Bankers and Legislators a comin'.
I'm not lucky at gambling, or I would be spending some coin, instead of shooting the bull on this site. In most ever other aspect of my life I have been lucky beyond all my expectations.
I'm lucky to be alive, but that's about it.
You said it better than I could have. I've never been lucky at gambling, rarely win prize drawings and things like that - but in the things that really matter in life, I consider myself very lucky indeed.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to be alive and living in a free country. I think this is the best age to live in.
Not sure I can believe in god. I do believe in luck. So far, neither one has been worth a damn to me.
I have good friends, an awesome wife who plays music (so she understands my GAS), my debts are paid and I have a job that allows me to work from home.
So yes, I'm either extremely lucky or extremely blessed. Either way, I'm not taking it for granted!
+1. I have bad luck for everything, but there's always that little luck that always save me.
Sometimes I feel like this....
"LOST: Dog with 3 legs, castrated; no tail, & only 1 ear, brown color with bad case of mange, blind & almost deaf.?
Answers to the name: LUCKY"
+1000000000000000. In the grand scheme of things, I got absolutely nothing to complain about.
Well, I've never had what I would call "good luck".
And I've had what I think is more than a fair share of "bad luck".
but, all in all, I'm pretty happy with my life.
