Polishing Compound Comparison Chart

    Here is a link that shows the comparative abrasiveness of various polish compounds that I think some may find useful.

    That chart is how I came up with the range of Meguiars I use from the 40 items on the shelf at the store.

    I've seen a few of these charts, but that seems to be the best I've come across.

    What I like best about his chart is that it identifies which products don't contain silicone. While Meguiars is more readily available, many products in their mix contain silicone and I never seem to find the ones that don't. I tend to stick with 3M products to avoid confusion. Thanks for posting!

    I read somewhere that the consumer products (like ScratchX and Ultimate) contain silicone and the products aimed at professionals like the glazes don't have silicone.
