These are my favourites, they're genuine non fake and they're Gibsons. They are now officially poasted.

It's no wonder Gibson is going under, pricing a guitar that nice at 137 bucks!

Which one has the widest neck ? Which one the narrowest ? Does it follow common wisdom ?

    Best Gibson of this thread.

    That is the 135 I want ! Non-f hole. What’s it weigh ? How’s the neck ?

The neck is fairly chunky, definitely has some shoulder to it, but not too fat. I'd say a nice D profile. The weight is a bit over 8 pounds, it's still a semi-hollow although without f holes. That's a 2003, the last year of production that came with those specs.

Agree with Crashbelt, I have several narrow nut Gibsons, down to a '69 with a 1 1/2" nut, and they really don't bother me.

Late 60s Gibson necks are very tapered anyway so even if they feel a bit tight at the first fret they're pretty much as big as an early 60s one by half way down - that '69 feels pretty much the same as my '58 ES225 and bigger than my two wide nut '65s once I'm past the fifth fret.

Amaterasu - my #1 Les Paul for many years, a Guitar Trader "pre-Historic" that I bought new in '83.

Amazingly lively guitar, moderately chunky neck. These were hand-carved so the neck profile and the scalloping of the top is a little different on every one, just like on the 50s ones.

She shows some wear but all her scars were earned in battle.

She's not super flamey like some of the R9s are but this pic shows her top a little better.
