Actually, shouldn't it be spelled "poast" considering the pronunciation? English is a such a strainge language.

REAL DEAL. My first and last Gibson, just go it yesterday. Mids as far as the eye can see and instead of ice pick it’s a warm dull blanket tone. Jealous?

No idea. I think it is just a mounting ring of some sort. This guitar has had horrible things done to it in the past repair wise, so I play it, enjoy it, and remain deliberately and wilfully ignorant to all of its many flaws.

OOPS! Someone answered already, it is a spacer.

Thanks. It took me about 35 years to get this. It is my holy grail.

A beautiful, solid wood, long scale masterpiece with my favorite single coil pickups.
    Congratulations!

My number one for the last 15 years: bone stock 2003 CS-356. 'Quilted Heritage Darkburst' from the Music Machine Stinger series. Incredibly versatile. inspiring every time I open the case.

Only the fretboard is toasted on mine.

2012 LP 50s Tribute, dark back, 7 lbs. 6 oz. IIRC. My only Gibson, at the moment, but I've had 7 others over the years. Has very little playing time on it, as I've come to prefer the Fender scale and tone.

Had to sell of all my gear back in the late 90's. Had a White LP Studio with Gold hardware that I wish I still had. Don't have any pics of it(lost). This is what it looked like.[IMG]

Sometimes a simple SG is all you need. I love the Rorschach test pickguard.
