We used to have a mod from Wales. The Wale ate him. As a matter of fact, every time we’ve tried to have a non-US mod, they were eaten by some animal native to their own apartment complex. Ok, one was lost in a terrible knitting accident, but all the others have been eaten. It was therefore determined that for the safety of our members, mods would only be US members. It’s not a hard and fast rule. Just a general safety policy. At this point, we might chance another non-American mod, but there would definitely be waivers to sign. We can’t just throw that kind of liability around all willy-nilly. And really, who wants to risk being eaten just for the opportunity to say they’re a TDPRI moderator? Is it really worth it? I hear they don’t even get the $30 Olive Garden gift cards that all the other members get for every 1000 posts.
