I really like unusual things, especially guitars and basses, i wanted to know if you know guitar/brands (could be bass too but mainly guitar) that are very innovative and unusual, something like Minarik instruments, thanks.

From the Stevie Ray Dali collection...

Seriously this probably isn’t what you’re looking for, but I do like how Eastwood has resurrected a lot of the old Japanese and Italian designed cheapos from the 60’s. I remember when I was a kid being fascinated by those hideous guitars when I’d run into them in pawn shops or guitar stores. All the Airline’s (Montgomery Wards? those may have been USA), Teisco’s, Eko’s, etc. So ugly they were almost cool.

    Almost...

The Relish guitars are pretty wild. Don't care for the shape, but they are something else in terms of engineering. Swappable pickups, here's the back of one with the (magnetic) cover removed.

My Teisco Del Rey is fairly common, and dull-looking compared to some of the guitars posted on this thread, but it's still pretty cool.

By the way, I just happen to know a guy who has a very nice example of a, fancy, late 60's, Teisco Del Rey that he might be willing to part with, if you find that you can't live without one.
