I know this is a lame request, but please help! I found the YouTube video posted on this forum. No idea what thread. Wanted to save it, didn't happen.

I have no idea of the who, what, when, or where, but this is what I recall.

Place - not a club, I don't think there was even a stage. Maybe a community center or something.

Song - no idea, probably a jazz standard.

Who - I think only 2 guys, both guitarist. There may have been others, but not playing guitar.

One guy was maybe in his 70's or 80's, playing a big box, and was more than holding his own. But the real jaw dropper was the Tele player.

He was maybe in his 40's, playing some crazy fast chord work. I know there were single note runs that were sweet, but his chording was beyond impressive.

This Tele guy has to be well respected, but I wouldn't call him famous.

I have spent an hour looking through past threads to no luck. But I have to find this video, find out who this guy is, watch it 1000 times, and dream of being able to play like that one day.

I know it's not much to go on, but if you can help, please do. Thanks!

Wrong song but that's them! Their names were never mentioned when i first saw the video. I've heard of both of them, but never knew what they could do. GOOD GOD, that is just amazing talent. Instant fan! Time to buy some records! Thanks, I owe you one!

That video came up in the aftermath of my seeing Scotty live last fall, when I got stuck in Cinncinnati over a weekend during a business trip gone wrong. Scotty is an unbelievably good player and a heckuva nice guy. Some of the stuff he plays, just made me sit back in my chair, shake my head and laugh. If you ever have a chance to see him, do so.

You have good taste Longer! One of my fav-o-rite videos to watch. Great tele work from Scotty and Bob damn sure holds his own on the big box; as you call it.

No, don't do that, just play what you know and work on what you want. Very few of us are going to approach that level. Well okay, I know I'm not anytime soon! I love the 2 minute mark where he thanks the guy bringing refreshments or whatever it was and never misses a note.

I was thinking Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed
Jerry Reed was known to play a Tele on occasion
here is one of my favorites anyway

Very cool vid....a pleasure to watch these great musicians.
Unfortunately, I feel like I should make kindling out of my three axes after watching them play.

    Carry on......
