Hello fellow Tele lovers,
I am from the Netherlands and bought my first Telecaster last week. It's a 52 custom shop Journeyman relic.
Right now the guitar is at my tech for a setup.
I am a long time Les Paul player, but I wanted a Fender for a long time.
I first thought I wanted a strat. I tried around 10 custom shop strats, but with none of them it was love at first sight.
Then last week, this used custom shop Tele came up for sale, and I gave it a shot.
I had an instant connection with the guitar. It is very resonant and sounds amazing. Also the relic look is great, although I was not specifically looking for a relic.
I will play it through a cranked Marshall Lead & Bass 20W with a 2*12 with Celestion heritage 20W greenbacks.
I use only a Throbak Strange Master (treble boost), which is always on.
I play in a southern rock band (Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top).
The best for you all and I look forward to read all the great posts on this forum.
