My Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 arrived today. After getting it set up to work with Reaper, I gave it a quick test drive.

Since this a guitar forum and you might want the full geeky details: :)

    Godin Fifth Avenue Kingpin
Emerson Em-Drive (that very slight distortion on the loud parts)
    TC HOF Mini reverb
    Quilter Tone Block 201
Mesa oversized open back cab w/Eminence Neo EM12L
    Shure SM57
Scarlett into computer, no EQ or effects in Reaper other than level normalization

I did another take with the "air" setting turned on. I do like that setting. It makes the normal input seem a bit murky by comparison. However, when I normalized the track done with "air" the low bass notes distorted. I suspect there is a bit of ultra-low bass boost happening with it.

I don’t know what this interface thing is but your recording sounds pretty good!

Short version eh? That’s a single right there
