    What are you?

I consider myself a player, albeit, not an outstanding player. I like having guitars, but I don't have GAS issues, and I don't believe I need more than I can play on a fairly regular basis... that would make me a collector. If you don't play them, what good are they?

I know almost nothing about electricity, so there is no need to even discuss it, but I am somewhat interested in how each piece of equipment sounds and what can effect that.

    Player and gearhead.
    I have all I need.
    I'm grateful I'm both.
    It's still fun!

I can manage my guitars but I’m not a tinkerer, and I don’t get any particular satisfaction from the work itself. I just do what I must to keep them tip-top.

And I only have five assorted acoustics, electrics and basses, so I guess I’m just a player.

Player and Gearhead. Falling out of that gear thing though. Where's hack builder/DIY self-shocker at?

Player and gear head. I don’t have giant piles of stuff, but I’ve been through many hundreds of guitars and amps. Because I like trying new and different stuff.

All of the above. Long-time player, I enjoy guitars and I've been lucky enough to land some collector/boutique stuff, I appreciate the similarities and differences between brands/eras/price points of gear, and I've built a few partscasters and can handle a soldering iron if I have to.

I'm a returning player (stepped away for years), but I also like having options. I also have the ability to buy things I couldn't before.

Player first, but if I had the wherewithal and the space, I'd be the guy with one guitar and 50 amps.
And 50 pedals. But as it is, I live in a condo, so a couple of guitars, 3 amps and 20 pedals.

    It'll do:)

Player, but I do tinker a bit, so I suppose a semi gearhead too.

Player and ex-gearhead. I have lots of amps, guitars, PA stuff, other instruments, but I haven't bought anything in a while and seem to have temporarily lost the urge. I guess I have what I need.

I have 2 guitars and I play one, my Stratocaster. I have 3 amps; a pile of pedals and I use pretty much only one of them. I have the sound I've been searching for, finally, with just the amp and one pedal. I'm tired of buying endless pedals and selling them off... I don't want to buy things just to have them. If they make me sound good, yes! I see pedalboards with seemingly every pedal the person owns on it and for the life of me I can't see using/getting a good timqe out of all that. To each his/her own, I suppose. I can only speak for myself. Everything I have is used... If not, it goes...

I do like looking at what others have, I may get ideas for myself.

Player! I had a gear head phase as a bass player; I still have preferences but I realized I’m just not that picky and don’t go tone chasing like I used to.

I’m a player. My interest in gear is in getting the most from what I already own. Sometimes that means making changes, some major, some minor. I’m not a collector. Guitars are for playing, not for looking at in a display case. If I had a collectible guitar, it would be in the rotation with the rest of them.
