My friends know....
Hey, it's your funeral......
At my funeral, I want them play something so sad it makes everyone cry as if they actually missed me.
Phrasemaker! I prefer it, but not for my funeral. I want something snappy as they lower my casket down, something like...
That's the first song I thought of!
If you wanna make them weep, hit em with Angels Rock Me to Sleep by Marty Stuart and the Superlatives
This is the one I've requested:
I do want to be buried holding maybe my Strat or Tele neck. Just don't wanna be separated from a guitar in the afterlife (even if it turns out we are just worm food, after all!)
I used to think I wanted the neck of my Martin sawed off, and hold that, as it's my favorite, and think a Martin headstock is just about the most beautiful 'look' in the guitar universe.
Then I realized this would be trashing a great guitar-so it stays with the family!
Perhaps one can go out in style by setting up a small testamentary trust for the expense of a few cases of beer, wine, liquor, and mixers, a bartender and a couple of hot waitresses, and a comedian with a list of your favorite jokes, some jokes about you, and a list of facts and suggestions for the comedian to fashion jokes about you to round out a setlist.
I understand this one is played and sung a good bit.
I've always wanted to attend one at which the Possum's biggest was played or performed live.
I've got a whole playlist ...
Think you can find a polka band in Chicago that can play Amazing Grace on accordions and banjos?
Here's what I would want played.
I can’t say enough about Ian, and that whole album in particular. I’ve probably seen him 100 times over the years.
I have not really thought about this but the classics seem the best- amazing grace and will the circle be unbroken
this'd be it then... and maybe don't fence me in...
This is misnamed by the kind person who posted on YouTube. The actual name of the song by the Andean band Sukay is Toro Barroso.
