    Hello there everybody,

Does anybody know where I can get reasonable plastic (and/or metal) P90 covers without holes?

No dogears (Yeas, I know I can cut the ear and sand and polish etc)!

    I'd need about 20 pieces.

    Cheers mates!

    Mete

So I went out to a buddy of mine who directed me to a acrylic company where they do vacuum forming.

    I ordered 50 pieces.

So I'd guess they have to make a mold for it too, eh?

They make a male/female mold pair, yes, to make sure they meet the dimensions. In my case it's very easy due to the shape, hence the reasonable pricing.

All the same color. I could have wanted other colors, black just seems to do the job for me and my pup guy...

Are they vacuum forming them out of Acrylic?

Beware of drilling acrylic. It's very prone to cracking. Has low resistance to impact and pressure.

Sharpening a regular twist drill can help.

You will also want to adjust the rake angle so that it doesn't grab and viciously attack you while drilling. If not for my steel watch, I would have severed tendons in my hand one time when I was drilling acrylic without appropriate precautions.

Wait a second... how the flip are those mounted to the guitar? 2 sided tape? just drop and in an pray? Do you need washers for the mounting screws to hold down the bobbin?

    Yes.
By "sharpen", I meant make the angle of the drill bit tip "sharper" or more "pointy".
