I’ve finally assembled my favourite Fender Stratocaster! The maple neck is from a 2018 MIM Standard Strat, and I upgraded it with Tex-Mex pickups.

With some setting of the intonation and action adjustment, I was able to get this guitar feeling AND sounding phenomenal.

The value has gone down, because it’s technically a ‘partscaster’. But for me — the value has gone up! It has a neck I love, a finish I adore, and pickups that give me the perfect strat tone.

What are your thoughts on partscasters in general? If it is becomes one of your favourites, then should you care about how much it’s worth?

    That's a beauty!
Personnaly, I have no problem with partscasters since the value of my guitars are not a part of the equation because I have no intention to sell any of them.

Wonderful! And who cares about value if it's your perfect Strat? You ain't gonna sell it anyway!

Looks cool! Don't have a problem with partscasters. In fact I'd like to build one, some day. And I wouldn't be to worried about value gone up or down either. If you build your perfect guitar, there's no reason to ever sell it anyway.

    looks great - HNGD!

I personally love partscasters - don't care about "resale" value per se, because on the rare case when I want to sell a partscaster, I will bust it down and sell the parts separately. In reality, I end up selling most of "stock" guitars I get, but keep the builds/mods/partscasters

My first part-o-caster Strat was finished in “Strawberry Milkshake Pink”.
The guy I sold it to played lots of smoky bars, and it turned Popsickle Orange.
Strange, true, and probably not that interesting.
    Thanks for listening.
    Cool Strat, BTW!

The pick makes me think the guard needs to be Blue Pearl.

Looks really nice! Put the rest of the screws in the pick guard & you got a solid machine!

Pink Strats are great. I'd like one just the same.
