A few years back I found this sad old American Standard Telecaster on Kijiji. All the hardware was rusty and the original black paint was really messed up on the back. It was $600 including case and candy so I snapped it up and stripped the paint with a heat gun. I ordered a Stringbender from Hipshot, bought a router and installed the B bender unit. Freehand routing, paper template was actually pretty easy. I have painted and repainted this guitar several times before I settled on pink. Now I'm gonna Honkey Tonk it round this town.

Cowboy Punk is tall and skinny. Cowboy Punk's boots are long and pointy. There is a steel guitar screaming. It's one shot, one mixed drink, a beer and a "Hey Houserockers! Let's have some fun!"

It's what you go on before you paint your Tele pink....:p Just kidding.

The B-Bender, most people call them Benders, is a Tele with a mechanism to raise the B string up a step. It sounds like a steel guitar. Dig in here, and google for Clarence White, and Gene Parsons, they invented it. Ranks right up there with the wheel, and sliced bread.

I will have to do that! Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. As far as painting your tele pink, I wouldn’t say that was a bad idea

I too have a pink b bender guitar. This is my second Rolling bender but I prefer my traditional hipshot. I just couldn't put one on this shape. I've tried other people's guitars with the traditional bender and one of these days I'd like to install one myself.

I'm a sucker for an easy joke. A Tele is a canvas, how somebody chooses to paint their canvas is none of my concern, all's good in the hood.

    Very cool! Hand pin-striping?

I've got lots of different colors for guitars and that is one I don't have. Not that it's bad in any way shape or form, as I really dig it!

And, good work on the bender installation(I'm all thumbs when it comes to working on them)!
