Lots of ppl customise their guitars but how many of you customise your amps?

Never done this before but I just felt my new 4x12 rig needed something.

There’s been a sticker of my band’s logo on the side of my beloved 63RIVV for almost 20 years; I also branded it ~10 years ago...the small ceramic cowskull hanging over the jewel light adds some panache as well.

    I guess I’m pimpin’...

My "pimped" 70 Deluxe Reverb, decked out with 2X10 JBL D110Fs. Those chrome domes make it somewhat customized, not to mention the JBL badge. _526.JPG

I have a Peavey Special 130 that came to me with the speaker bolt holes munched out in the MDF baffle board. Also, someone painted the aluminum side strips black and it looks lame. I did a wood epoxy repair on the baffle and it works great...but I haven’t decided on either of these pimpage directions:

    1. go back to full-on 1980s Peavey-ness with some new aluminum strips; or

    2. go for some understated Evans combo visuals with the plain black amp with wheat-colored grille cloth; or

    3. Paint the baffle board some interesting color that will subtly show through the open weave of the black grille cloth, along with the silver rim of the Scorpion 12.

it’s taken a couple of years for me to bond with this amp, but now that I’ve figured out how to tame the raving George Lynch-ness of the dirty channel and found settings on the shared EQ that work well for both channels, I want to do something visual to it more and
    more now.

I had a moon and stars on the face of my old Marshall, kinda going for a Zeppelin type thing. That was a long time ago.

Haven't stuck anything on any of my current amps though.

    Now your giving me ideas!!

Never an amp, but I regale all my hard cases with various stickers- started with the 68 Telecaster Bass I bought in 1992 came with a beater hard case with tasty stickers from the 70s on it...

Just leave the money on the dresser. Or a pedal. Or some 6V6s.

I've got loads of ideas, but never have finances, time and inclination in the same season!

There are pimps. And there are the pimped. Gotta choose a side, or it might be chosen for you.

OK it's clear I need to get off TDPRI and get some work done.
