Looking for a Fuzzish pedal, but have had some issues with pure Fuzzes. Once again, it takes skills and knowledge to master it. How to pick, volume, the position in signal chain.. but I like the general sound scene though.

Haven't seen much discussion about this one, but sound samples are very close what I'm looking for. It's not a traditional Fuzz, but more like Fuzz/ Overdrive hybrid as far as I know. Much more controls too. And I'm playing it thru the humbuckers.

Any users? Any comments? Behavior with Wah pedal?

I would appreciate any feedback, or similar suggestions sound wise.

Here's a review I did when I bought one - on sale. My opinion hasn't changed. I like it and use it - although don't actually use it a lot, lets say one or two songs in a gig. Also, I'm almost entirely using single coil pickups - Texas Specials or P-90s.

One thing I liked is the variety of pre-sets. I found one I liked and that's what I use.

My sense from reading a lot of fuzz-i-pedia is that each formula/version may play differently between pickups and amps in the chain. What works for me may not work for you or even what works for me now might not at some point in the future.

But for me, it works just fine.

Thanks, great info!

You're probably right. Fuzz very much depends on everything else around it also.

My DIY germanium Fuzz is dying. It's playable like a minute or so and then starts to dim and finally sounds like a gerbil on a ventilator..

I'm now building light home/travel pedal board. Haven't been playing other than home for a decade or so. And very little until recent months. But hopefully after the summer we are able to have some sessions at friend's place at least.

And also thinking those presets may become handy if playing with various amps, or like what's left (i only have THR-5 modeling one at home). So there's more tone control compared to vintage type fuzzes.

You found one with a great price too!

Now been playing it for few days. Like every pedal, took some time to get used to it. Using it mostly in series, because I have overdrive pedals already and looking for that thick fuzzy sound.

Having EQ settings is really good. Even when playing with different headphones (thru Mooer Audiofile), the tone is different. So the tone balance can be tweaked by preset EQ curves. With my gear, have been using mostly positions 1, 2, 3. The rest sound quite harsh.

I like the fact that it's clearly a Fuzz, but more stable. Sustain is there (really) and there are no surprising "cuts". Although, I havent been able to control fuzz amount with guitar's volume pot. Thinking it's because overdrive part is already boosting the signal for the fuzz. So feels more stable, but can't execute all vintage tricks. Quite noisy too (in series), but suppose that is the thing with gain pedals..

I'm happy so far! Now I got the tone that overdrives can not produce.
