Anyone here ever play a bass through a little Pignose?
I don't have one to try it out, but supposedly you have to lower the guitar's volume to get a clean sound. May be interesting with effects as well.I have one and I think it sounds like ass, I never use it.
You probably won't get much bass out of that speaker, and you may blow it. They did make a bass model, but it was a lot bigger.Anyone here ever play a bass through a little Pignose?
I was mostly thinking as a type of preamp or effect prior to an amp. Mostly just curious. You probably won't get much bass out of that speaker, and you may blow it. They did make a bass model, but it was a lot bigger.
Love mine, but usually want clean Fender tones, so don't play it much. Pig also made a pedal for a while. Very gnarly, but I don't use it much either.

Met him in Boulder last year on the Dead and Co tour.Common response...Perhaps they are not very consistent. I've had them in the past and was uninspired but none sounded bad....This new one just rocks with my CS Broadcaster.
Coincidence this photo just popped up on my FB feed! So Cal concert goers may remember Harry who roller skated with a Pignose throughout the parking lots! A SoCal icon!

I’ve repaired a few of these. An original (L) and a newer one (R). The circuit board hasn’t changed much over the years with two transistors that go bad. Leaking batteries often mess things up, so pull out those six AAs when you’re not using it.View attachment 1139483
