Until last week I would have said my 93 Les Paul Studio Lite. I got it for my 16th birthday and it's like an extension of me.

Last week, I finished building the dream guitar I've had in mind for a decade - part of which is based directly on the dimensions of that Gibson. Right off it plays, feels, and sounds better than I had hoped.

So, I don't know which I would save if I had to choose. Probably still the Gibson. I can build the other over again and probably replicate that same feel and sound pretty close. But you can't rebuild 25 years of connection.[IMG]

There's a thread on it on the Home Depot section for me details. Briefly:

Mahogany body and neck with walnut top and headstock veneers and ebony fretboard. 25" scale, 10° headstock (scarf joint and volute), uncovered P90s by Zhangbucker (the neck pickup is a variation on the staple p90). LP Special-type flat top but contoured on the edges - so a blend of a Special and conventional carved top.

My Yamaha FS800, I have spent hours polishing the frets to perfection. I dare say, it plays like butter. Plus, this one sounds really good. And it it lighter than my other guitars.

I think they outlawed that pink paint so you should take that one.

Our house on fire? Our neighbor took this sunset over our house as the snow squall, which ushered in the polar vortex, blew through. Wow. Fire and Ice. Maybe time to start putting instruments at exits again.....

Home is where the polar vortex is.jpg

I guess it would have to be my '68 Tele. It's not my most used Guitar - but it is certainly the most valuable one that I own.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I've actually run into a burning building because it had my music gear inside, the fire was by the gas furnaces in the basement and I put it out with buckets of water.
    It was arson.

Funny as hell, my GF at the time was out in the street with everybody else holding her goldfish in a bowl, screaming at me to not go in.

Now my guitars are mostly able to survive a toss out the window.
    Amps I might die for....

I'd save my Tune Bass Maniac. In 20 years of following every Tune thread or post I could find online I've only discovered 3 others who owned one.
There's 1 in Japan.1 in Holland and 1 was in Australia.

I would save Natalie if I could only get one. Would most likely die trying to save them all in reality. I'm not sure what it is about this guitar in particular. She's just my baby. 20180707_184120.jpg

For me, it was because if I could only have one guitar, it would have to be an acoustic, as those can be played anytime anywhere. I’d miss having an electric, but they kind of require certain situations.

I gave this one serious thought which is why it took me so long to post. I was thinking maybe my Tele, maybe my S&P acoustic. My SG is common as nails. In reality all my guitars are replaceable. I'd get people and pets out first and if I was still able to get back in to save something, the Dali hanging on my living room wall. Save what's irreplaceable first. Guitars are way down on the list.

No brainer for me - my 71 Les Paul Deluxe that was given to me by my older brother as a Christmas present when I was 13. It has been routed for bigger humbuckers (still kicking myself for that 30 years later) and it has been refinished. It’s not worth much to a collector but to me it’s priceless.

I'd pick the one closest to the front door. That wall hanger gets regular rotation so it would be the guitar de jour.

Can you trade pets and spouse for a couple more?
