Thanks!

Actually that's a '54 Historic. There may have been a little overlap in specs between '53 & '54 but the '53's had a trapeze tailpiece that wrapped under and a very shallow neck angle. In '54 they went to the stud or "wraptail" on the Goldtop but introduced the Custom "Black Beauty" with a Tune-o-Matic, and in '56 the Goldtop got the ToM as well.

Great guitar that smokes with this amp!

Nice family photo!

Now you have me thinking. I love a guitar through a 15" speaker. First thing I do when I get home is check to see if a 15 will fit in the 5e8 cab! Might save me from buying a Tweed Pro kit next.

(I'm seriously gassing for a DR.)

These P90 Goldtops are fantastic guitars aren't they? Mine's an '01 reissue I bought from a LPF forum bro. It came to me with Lindy Fralin P90s & Alessandro branded pots and caps. (probably CTS pots and Jensen foil in oil caps) The best electric I've owned.

Tell me more...

How's that baby sound? Are you happy with the quality of the kit from Weber? I've been thinking of ordering their low power tweed twin kit-but wasn't sure of the quality, I know it's much cheaper than some of the other suppliers. Thanks, Joel

Ya how does that Sound?

Nice job putting it together, how does she sound? I had read a comment from Bruce that it has a bit more headroom than a 5e3.

Lance, for some reason I like that picture of yours!

3rd time's lucky: How's it sound?

TT100, thanks for posting the pics! :) It looks great, really nice job. Where's the transformer from?

But most of all – how does it sound? How would you compare it with a "regular" 5E3? Thanks again, CS :)

Beautifull!

After posting what seemed like a million "what amp sould I buy" posts, that has me convinced. I'm going to order one of those Weber kits tomorrow! Oh- I love those 54's, but does that mean you DON'T OWN A TELE!!!!!??????? Just asking. Thanks for posting the pics!
